plenty of rest for the wicked

I slept past noon everyday of the weekend, it was fabulous. I went to see "wicked" with maria on sunday, and I am totally geeking out. catchy songs, a green underdog, and huge clouds of smoke billowing off a stage... my heart is yours.

also, seeing this jerk again made my weekend.

tooth #14

you were a lovely tooth, number 14, and I'm sorry you died. mostly, I'm sorry because it meant I had to have a root canal this morning. I was so nervous, I got sick to my stomach (and other parts as well) the night before. the only cause of death my doctor could come up with was some sort of trauma to the tooth when I was a kid. number 14 hung in there for almost 30 years before kicking the bucket. good on you, my pearly white little friend! enjoy your tooth retirement, I'll think of you fondly every time I chomp on ice cubes.

oh, and some of my family from mexico was visiting last week! it was fun, I hadn't seen them in ages and I was so happy that there were some fellow night owls in the house with me. dinner at ten, conversation and jokes until 1am, I was in nocturnal heaven. I think they're coming back for some family party next may, I can't wait!

giddy london

I'm baaaaaack! my inner-clock has no idea what time it is, but my pants know it's hammer time. I spent the week in London, please enjoy the highlights:

ew! hrrrrrrrrrruh!

even though katie and I were cursed with insomnia and possibly IBS, it was a blast. I still think the whole funny money thing has to go, I cannot carry that much change in my wallet.

snack blast from the past!

I found these delicious little treats at Trader Joe's this afternoon, and they have rocked my snack world!
Tj_munchos

They are light, crispy and salty and 22 of these little guys are only 120 calories. What else can a girl with a mad salty craving ask for? Yes, Vanessa, but how do they taste? That is the best part, my friends! They taste just like Munchos!
Munchos1
You remember Munchos, don't you?! It was all about Munchos when I was a kid, my cool older cousins ate them and I thought they were the bee's knees. Now, I can have a healthier version of my beloved Munchos to munch on.

mad skillz

I can't get a raise at work, but lordy I have some crazy ticketmaster skillz.

I managed to get tickets to ALL THREE Radiohead shows in the l.a. area, Hollywood Bowl and Santa Barbara Bowl. The Santa Barbara tickets were the ones that really shocked me, because I knew they were going to be almost impossible to get. It's Radiohead in a 3500 person venue, my mind is still being blown.

9 to 5

seriously, I am sick and tired of work bullshit. I just want to be paid a fair salary, and once and a while if would be great to be acknowledged for the work I do by the person signing the checks. I refuse to stoop as low as pimping myself out as one of the smoking/drinking buddies, which seems to be the quickest way up our corporate ladder.

ow.

I have a skull crushing headache, probably due to skipping dinner. but now it's too late to eat anything, so all I can do is whine.

perhaps I'll have some cheese with my whine.

maybe I'm just too old for this...

I went to see "cloverfield" tonight... then I went home and vomited.

I kept my eyes closed for about 75% of the movie, but what little of it I did see made me so dizzy and cross-eyed I could barely see straight when I walked out. it's either one of the best or worst movies I never saw.
