The boys are back! We had our reunion sushi dinner tonight, Curtis and I have been dreaming of crunchy rolls for months now. I'd been chatting with both guys during the day, and talked Erik through my wardrobe rebellion at work. Finally, it was time to leave the office and head over to Curtis' to pick them up. Before I could even get out the entire question, "Where do you guys feel like goi--", Curtis was chanting "Sushi Marina, crunchy roll and garlic butter rolls." Off we went, catching up and joking in the car. It was a good night for sushi, the restaurant was lively enough to be interesting, but there were plenty of available tables. We gave into every temptation --- sake, potato croquettes, garlic butter rolls, crunchy rolls, and even a philly roll for good measure.
We toasted and caught up on the last two months, and it was so much fun to just sit there with the guys again. We were thisclose to talking ourselves into going across the street to Fiore for sangrias and creme brulee. Instead, we went over to the former "office" and had peppermint mochas and cookies. I was deliciously stuffed and enjoying the commentary, I couldn't have been happier.
I'm going to miss them when they go back out on the road, but that's weeks away and I won't worry about that yet. Welcome home, boys!
